Hi, I'm hoping you can help me as I need some clarity regarding returning to work after maternity leave. I started my maternity in March 2013 and I had a lot of issues whilst on maternity regarding pay rise and bonus I was treated appallingly and before I left on maternity I had to undergo a very stressful appeal over my straight talking rating which wa resolved two days before I left and I was told (I didn't get it in writing) that it wouldn't change when I went on maternity but it did so I had to undergo an appeal process again while on my leave which was highly upsetting and stressful as I was being passed from one mgr to the other over to hr an constantly had to chase for updates and waste a lot of precious time eventually I was told I wouldn't get the rating I wanted but with no explanation as to why! 2 months ago I informed my meg I would be wanting to return early and on a phased return I went in and had a meeting and basically everything discussed was verbally agreed I was due to start next Monday. I have organised child care and so on and before the Xmas holidays I chased my mgr as I still had no confirmation from them and I got no reply as usual. I then mailed him again last Thursday to be told he was no longer dealing with it as he was leaving and our mgr had already left so it was handed to another mgr to deal with. I called hr who had no records of my return and told me they had me down to return in March! Imagine my surprise!!! I then ha a call from the mgr dealing and they said basically I have to start my return to work request all over again!!! Again imagine my surprise I am so stressed and upset beyond belief I had a text today asking me to join a call this Thursday to discuss my return and there was no way realistically I would be able to return next week as verbally agreed with my previous mgr! Do I have any rights here as childcare is sorted but now I am going to have no pay? Do they have to pay me is there anything at all I can do here as I have had enough of being treated so badly by a big business who clearly have no idea what they are doing! Please help me
