Have 2 DC - primary school. have more and more desire to develop professionally (I am a teacher), so taking some time to develop my subject knowledge etc. Some people say that this time with kids will never come back,so feel like I need to spend time with kids. I work ft. what woudl you do?

What would it involve in practical terms?

goodbook200 · 07/01/2014 21:10

I work 8 till about 4. Then I would have to stay 30 min longer to do online courses which will help my cv, I hope.

Do it!

goodbook200 · 07/01/2014 21:24

Why do you think this way? I am almost 40...and not really sure if I can achieve more, even with additional courses...

Can't you do the online courses later in the evening when they are in bed?

JeanSeberg · 07/01/2014 21:39

Nearly 40 is nothing! It's only an extra 30 minutes a day and is for your ongoing professional development.

Think positive!

I thought you were walking about working until Late at night and loads of weekends away!!!
30 mins is nothing, do it!

goodbook200 · 08/01/2014 14:45

I said 30 mins as a minimum. I will try to do minimum and see how far I get in terms of getting something done/ complete ( course/ certificated modules etc) I do have a degree, so it is just enhancing my skills
