I'm just about to re-launch my website, and was hoping i could get some opinions abut it, and some comments - also to check the the links work, and the pages show ok.

Is that allowed on this forum?

Thanks - don't want to break any rules!

I've linked to mine before in this topic and no one seemed to mind, I got lots of useful feedback.

Brilliant osaraf.

It's www.lovemeforeverkeepsakes.com

I'd love some feedback and comments - and to see if it's working ok!

Lovely idea. I haven't seen anything like this before. I was just looking at the gallery and wonder if perhaps the animals could have a brief description. Lions and elephants may look obvious but others are perhaps ambiguous. I think this especially important as the price page lists by animal and it would be easier to marry up if there is an example in the gallery by way of reference. It would be even better if the description, price and picture could be in closer proximity so that viewers have a quick 'at a glance' idea of the product. Other than that, I wonder if there could be a coloured or patterned background by way of a contrast to make the headings stand out (being a bit fussy I know). Good luck with a great idea.

it is a really fantastic idea, there is a lady doing them near me in the north west and I'm wondering if it's you?! I just looked at the site on my phone and it's perfectly fine for it's use as you aren't taking payment online. I would second the idea of a picture of each item next to the price. perhaps the pics on the homepage could be bigger but otherwise it's very clear what your product is and what you have to do to order. I couldn't get the order form to download onto my phone and your Twitter and Facebook links didn't work so you might need to check them. a little section about you might be nice as people like to know who you are and how you got into it etc. have you thought about listing on etsy & folksy too to increase sales? good luck!

Great business! I think the home page is a bit too wordy and not punchy enough. Maybe try bullet pointing, playing with text spacing/sizes or making it more concise at the top with further details underneath.

Lovely idea & website!

Agree that you could break up the text on the homepage a bit as most people won't bother to read it all (attention spans are much shorter on the web!).

Would suggest an order form rather than (or as well as) an email link and ideally an option to pay online too. Make it as easy as possible for customers to place orders.

Maybe some before & after pics - i.e. photo of the clothes and what you turned them into? Might work well on the homepage as it's a clear visual of what you are offering.

A video talking through what you do etc.? Upload it onto YouTube with a link through to your website and benefit from the video marketing (embed the video on your website too, of course) :)

Really.

One of you pictures is blocked by the child protection on our PC - not sure why that was.

I was a bit worried that you say they are not to be used as a toy on your front page, but your testimonials refer to them being used by young children as toys. I'm not sure if that opens you up to any risk by including those comments? Maybe take out those sentences?

Sorry! That ^ was meant to say 'really lovely'!!

Utterly · 14/01/2014 13:30

Was also meant to say 'one of your pictures'!

The idea of your business is gorgeous - these will be great Christening gifts.

My main suggestion is that you should look into optimising your site for SEO - that way it'll help with your visibility in Google.

The Youtube video suggested by M0nkeynuts is a great idea too!
