I've just found out I may still be entitled to recieve childcare vouchers while on mat leave without it affecting my mat pay! is this correct? I'll need to know my stuff when presenting this little gem of info to my employer as I know I'll have a fight on my hands! if anyone could help I'd be grateful x

Yes, you can still get these. I can't remember the exact ins and outs but it's come up many times so try a search as you should get some results.

You are entitled to all contractual benefits throughout maternity leave, and that includes childcare vouchers.

Whether it affects your maternity pay depends what mat pay you get. They can't take from SMP but if you get anything over and above that they can.

I'm on my phone, but have a search for the HMRC guide to salary sacrifice and SMP, it's comprehensive, detailed and also from an official source therefore good to show your employer.

Do you receive your staff benefits using a salary exchange / flex / salary sacrifice scheme? If so, all of the benefits provided under this umbrella, including your own pension contributions and those of your employer, must continue in full.
