Late Application Form

Hi I hope someone out there can help!! I applied for a new job that it pretty much perfect (on paper) for me. The closing date was yesterday, and I emailed it yesterday morning. Today I discovered to my horror, that it had not been sent. I had missed out the .uk part of the email address! I resent it today, saying that I had only just discovered this and that I hoped they would still consider my application. Soooooo annoyed and disappointed. Do you think they might? I am going to ring them on Monday as well.

I've applied late before to jobs and still been interviewed, I think generally if its only a day late and they won't have started shortlisting yet you will probably be ok.

You might well get away with it, as it was a Friday and you've sent it before Monday, but unfortunately, you'll have to wait and see, and in this case, it's possible you might not find out till after Christmas, which makes it a long wait.

Thanks soo much Rock and Bear!! (What a cool name for a rock group). It is very embarrassing as I made a big deal out of presently doing proof-reading course...then I miss out the flipping .uk!!!!!!!

I am going to ring them on Monday and plead my cause!

I have done a proofreading course in the past. Guess which line of my CV had a typo, which I didn't notice for a few applications...
