Hello all, started to type the detail but it got waaay to long. Have name changed but am regular poster.

Basically my question to the wise vipers is this....

I am signed off work with work related stress. I've had all sorts of problems with my LM and another contractor.

I've raised a grievance last week as had a final straw moment relating to pay!

I've heard from HR that LM is going to ring me today to discuss the pay issue and no doubt the grievance. This is stressing me out even more!

Am I within my rights to not answer the phone to him...? It's a mobile provided by work.

Hi Christmascandles, hope you're doing ok?
First thing to say is that if you're signed off then your work mobile should remain switched off so from that point of view you're fine to ignore his call!
In our organisation, once a grievance has been raised then it will be dealt with by HR/senior management and the line manager wouldn't necessarily be directly involved; you certainly shouldn't be expected to deal with the person your grievance is about!
