voluntary redundancy

I've just put in for voluntary redundancy at work which I really hope I get. I worked out my redundancy pay uding the redundancy calculator at work and was pleased with the figure.

However I've just been reading another redundancy thread where someone states that if you use childcare vouchers then your gross pay is calculated as the amount after they come out. This would mean a big reduction and would not be so attractive! Ccvs were not mentioned on the redundancy calculator, I just had to put in my gross pay, large town allowance and hours worked.

Does anyone know if it's calculated on the amount before or after ccvs are deducted?

Sorry this is so long!

Childcare vouchers are a salary sacrifice, which means your gross salary reduces.

Of course it's possible your employer pays redundancy on the basis of gross plus CCV amount for those staff who receive them, so do check
