Career Advice Needed

Back in the '90s it was called a Careers Advisor, now I think it's a Life Coach. Whatever they are called now, I need help!

I have been in the same job, same roll for the past 8 years and have been back at work 5 months after the birth of my daughter a year ago. Unmotivated is an understatement, and I think I might need a change of job as I just cannot see where I am going in my current company (small privately owned, 10 staff). I have lost all enthusiasm and just cannot be bothered which is very unlike me.

I don't have a job that can easily be searched for on a job website, i.e. I'm not Sales / Marketing / Accountant / Doctor etc, so I need someone who can help me shape my CV and try and find another role which might get me back to the enthusiastic worker I once was.

Thank you!

Hi Kato76,
I'm a Careers Adviser/Guidance Coach, and am happy to give you whatever help I can via MN.
You can also get free help from: nationalcareersservice.direct.gov.uk, or you could pay to see a Guidance Coach for a one-off meeting or a series of coaching sessions. You can find a qualified adviser by searching on the Professional Register of the Career Development Institute www.thecdi.org.uk.
