Any accountants out there?

Can anyone give me some advice please? I'm thinking of doing an accountancy qualification but don't know where to begin. I have 20-odd years experience in management, a degree, and a small business which I'd like to understand better. Where should I start?

Thanks.

Why do you want to do this? Is it just to learn how to better run your own business? That's what I think your OP says.

In that case an accountancy qualification may not be the way to go. Book-keeping intro plus a course for newly self-employed might be rather more relevant and help you more.

Most (all?) accountancy qualifications require you to have significant (eg 3 yrs) professional experience before you can get your letters so bear that in mind too.
