H

I'm looking to build a very simple website to show case my services - professional consulting rather than selling a range of products.

I've had websites before built by friends and family but this time I really want to be self reliant.

Had a google and loads are recommended so can anyone narrow the field for me? I'd like to attach a blog so that's a consideration and have it SEOd at least for my local area and a bit further afield. I'd found one called JIMDO where you can upgrade for £60 a year and it gets a good press- anyone any ideas?

Hi Annhathaway,

My husband has created a website that takes you through the steps - they are free tutorials (created for friends who kept asking him to make them a website! - It's already helped a few people get started) - called sixtyminutewebsite.com. There are affiliate links if you choose to use them.

Hope this helps.

Yola is great first year is free, then less than £20 after that (can't remember the exact fee).
Plus you can pay for domain name at about £7.50ish per year IIRC.

Thanks both. My DH is a teccie wizard but simply doesn't have the time and I've been very reliant on that. I have NO IT skills at all but did manage to do CMS on previous website and even write in HTML so hopefully these suggestions will make it even easier?
