I have been lucky enough to get a place on a health visitor course starting in January. apparently we will get two weeks in july for an alternative placement.
can anyone suggest an interest team they work for that would be willing to offer a placement for one or two weeks.

Hi - congrats on your place. I started my HV training in sept and am loving it. We are allocated three weeks of alternative placement and are advised to break it up. That would include working with other HVs in other areas as well as multi disciplinary services. Some of the thoughts I have had are speech and language, social services, specialist HV for learning disability, family planning clinic, health in mind services, women's aid team, dietitian. When you start you will come across lots of ideas. Good luck.

Hi, if you don't mind me asking, which health authority is this for? Might be able to better help with specifics.
