do i tell them??

have been off sick last three weeks, anxiety -work issues.
never had this before, always had good sickness record, 25 years employed.
have interview next week, do i tell them i am off sick?? obviouly i wouldn't lie if asked, but i am a very honest person and don't want to feel i am being deceitful.

if they don't ask then don't tell them
if they do ask explain the situation, if they are going to be good employers then they will understand

I wouldn't.

But equally I would only apply for the job if I thought it would not cause the same problem.

job interview is for is lower grade than i'm on-so less responsibility.no mix of day/night shifts within same week, which eases childcare (am single parent) so i don't foresee a problem with that, these are the issues that have brought on the anxiety/loss of confidence/worry etc

In that case I wouldn't say anything unless directly asked, if then you have a valid reason for it which is unlikely to happen in the potential new job. Good luck, and I know what it is like to have a highly stressful job, so I hope this works out for you.
