I went for a second interview on Monday and interviewer said at end you will hear by Friday.

does that mean I would know by now? or is there still a chance.

what do you think?

Still a chance - they said by Friday and it's only Thursday!

DS went for a job interview for a temporary post. They told him he would hear in 3 days. Heard nothing for a week, then a phone call to say he got a permanent job!

Even if I didn't hear on Friday, I wouldn't be chasing it till the following week, as very few employers seem to make a decision as quickly as they say they will.
