Can you get out in the evenings? Once or twice a week I abandon DS on DH and have an evening out meeting new people, having a chat and, out of interest, earning some money while having a good time. I'm working as a Pampered Chef consultant - lots of support, don't need to be able to cook, but get lots of fantastic things to cook with and easy recipies to follow at kitchen shows. I'm doing this as a useful addition to my income so that I only have to work PT, but some people turn it into a significant business, earning serious money. It would be something you could work round the family. Let me know if you would like more details.

Hi everyone! I used to work as a legal secretary when I found out I was unexpectedly pregnant! It has all worked out for the best now and I am so happy but I really would like to earn some extra cash. I hate constantly asking my partner for money. I have no one to look after my 6 month old daughter and the idea of childminders/nurseries at her age scares me. I've tried trading on Ebay and looking into other making money schemes (which seem to all be cons) but what can I do? I only want to make a couple of hundred pounds a month. Just a bit of pocket money, lol. Any ideas?

Hi steph, have you looked at usborne books? You can find loads of information on www.usborne4u.co.uk i'm really enjoying it and find it keeps me sane. Yeah it works, you get out what you put in, but you earn 24% commision straight away so if you have a party at your house and sell £100 you earn your starter kit money back straight away and still have all your starter kit.

I go to playgroups with the girls during the day and drop leaflets (book fairs) off at schools and nurserys and then in the evening i do partys at peoples homes. It is really flexable.

You need to register as self employed but you do not pay anything until you earn over £4300 a year.
