Background I am a supervisor 2 others in the building and the one at reception let people in without checking they were allowed since he was newish (6 weeks here) I sent out my number 2 to check he knew how to check and the process etc he said everything was fine etc, I get a call after my nightshift from my manager stating gross misconduct etc but not to worry !!! eh? the incident report to the company solely blames me and has omitted the sending out and the checking he knew what he was doing saying i didnt communicate properly basically lies to the client

I was told by my manager i wasnt being investigated the situation was only i come into work to find I get investigated with another person who didnt follow process and let people in without checking they were allowed so I tell him about the call me telling him to follow process and me sending num 2 out to check etc (number 2 not investigated though or even asked what was said) I come into a disciplinary meeting letter. Even if i give my notice the meeting is smack bang in middle ive been with this company over 10 years and am so tempted to just walk

so am I being paranoid about this or am i getting solely blamed as the one in charge, what would happen if I just left after my next payday before the meeting
