Blush

If a job is advertised at £33,481 PA INC PRO RATA and Working pattern:9.5 hours per week

What does that mean? How much each year? £33,481?? Or considerably less. I am so Blush I dont understand this.

If the FT working week is 35 hours, prorata would be 9.5/35*£33481

Considerably less...

Twitterqueen · 23/10/2013 16:55

Basically, you're working 25% of a normal working week of 37.5 hours. So your salary will be 25% of 33,481 which is around £8,370 per year

As others have said, but to really know what their full time week is. In my business it's 40 hours.

SuperiorCat · 23/10/2013 20:09

F/T can vary from 42 hours to 35 IME, so depends on the number of hours worked FT

on the flip, how do I work out what the full time rate is for...

If I take home, say £30k (before tax), for a 21 hour week and the full time week is 35 hours. (I obv. don't work in numbers)
