I have been commissioned to do a piece for the guardian, it's written and accepted and going out later this month. Thing is its my first pitch to be accepted, who do I invoice? The commissioning editor?

Email your commissioning editor and ask them - you won't be the first person to have asked the question.

And congratulations!

I've a feeling they process it -inhouse - you don't invoice them. For accounts departments that work like this - I just raise an invoice for me own benefit, then wait for them to pay.

Yes, perma is right. They process inhouse and you will receive the receipt.

Well done! They usually pay quickly.

Thanks punk. I have contacted the editor and they are already on it :) and I'm working on my next load of pitches.
