Product photography in London?

I'm planning to open a video business, and currently working on portfolio and getting loads of things ready.

I've read people in a recent thread referring to product photography as a good bread and butter job, and I wonder if I could do it. I'm thinking of very simple stuff, a service aimed at small businesses needing pictures of their products to sell on ebay/etsy (jewellery, crafts, cupcakes).

Would you be interested in that? What would you expect of such a service? (what makes a good product photographer?) And how much do you/would you pay for that?

I have some photography/video experience, and some kit - nothing fancy, but enough to take good pictures for a website.

...or is it a rubbish idea?

thanks!

I feel the problem is most people don't realise how much a good photo can help so just take there own.
CHarges are a difficult one we find every one wants a bargain at the moment
