Almost every time I look on the Job Centre Plus website, I come across jobs advertised for mystery shoppers with 'Retail Maxim' and other mystery shopping firms. The information states that you will earn the equivalent of the minimum wage. This simply isn't true, and however many times I bring this to the attention of the Job Centre Plus people, it still happens time and time again. I AM a mystery shopper and can reliably say that you're lucky if the money adds up to fifteen pounds a month! So don't waste your time and energy if you're looking for a proper job!
