My boss has had 3 children while forging a successful career in the city. I recently returned from maternity leave and found that she made it very hard for me to come back. My flexible working request was initially declined & on one occasion she suggested I might be better off at home with the kids. Only after a talk with HR did she backtrack a little.
Today she reviewed a CV and said 'she's early 30s & just married - I don't think it's a good idea'. Why would a woman (who speaks at diversity events) behave in this way? Has anyone else experienced this from a female boss with children?
