Am a fucking stupid cow and that I'm the reason that everyone is leaving

Should I stay and put up with the atmosphere or hand in my notice

I'm fuming and know what I want to do at the mo!!

She is one of our fee earners & I am office manager which suits her when there is a problem with the photocopier but when something she does is pulled up she kicks off

You should complain, in writing, to HR/senior manager and ask for a discussion to sort it out. It's not on to use abusive terms like this to someone at work (or anywhere really!) and if she has an issue she needs to bring it up in a professional manner.

Ignore her, someone obviously has a chip on their shoulder. Possibly the fact that you are higher up than her?....

I agree with WW she shouldn't be allowed to get away with talking to you - or anyone- like that. If she has outbursts like that then surely she is creating the atmosphere not you. I think you need to talk to her again maybe once she has calmed down and discuss her "reservations" about you. Good luck

What WWW said... not on to behave like that in a work place, if she had an issue with your performance then she should take it up with you or your leader.

I have spoken to one of the directors and am going to speak to the MD tomorrow he has been told of the problem and it isn't the first time she has gone off on one at me.
I think it's more the fact that she has been critised than our positions.
I've only been there a year and her for at least 6
anyway we'll see what happens tomorrow and go from there.

I'll have to remember to take the knife with me to cut the atmosphere though!

Nothing's happened yet I still haven't managed to speak to the MD
I am sat here but don't want to be I want to be a SAHM now all I need to do is persuade dh!!!
Off to start a new thread!!!
