Reimbursement of Statutory Mat Pay - Small Employer Question

I am a small employer paying less than £45,000 in NI per year

I understand that i am entitled to 103% reimbursement of Stat Mat Pay for my employee

Can anyone tell me if this is done monthly - ie payroll and salary is generated and HMRC reimburse then or is it done in arrears?

You're best checking with hmrc directly, but from memory you used to take it off the tax bill for that month, so effectively immediate.
