2nd phone number

Has anyone added a 2nd phone number to there existing line for work purposes?
Do you know how you go about it and what costs are involved?

Hi we have one on our line - it rings differently A and so the kids don't answer it ! Was part of a package with BT about £12 a quarter I think - hubby set it up with a phone call to them - we still pay bt for line rental even though calls are all in with Internet provider - all works ok still !!
