I have two children 7&2 and am desperate to be working, I can't find anything that fits in with school hours (we have lots of after school activities too), my small one starts preschool in January, I do some odd bits of work self employed but not enough for a weekend away let alone to live.

A friend suggested the TA course but with so many mums doing this there'd be no guarantee of work at the end of it.

Am going insane trying to find something, I come from a financial services background and just need some ideas. Husband works and to be honest doesn't help with the kids so I'm juggling a lot but feel I'm losing my identity :0(

What does everyone else do???

When I was working in a bank a few years ago we had cashiers who worked 10-2 just to cover lunch breaks so that may be worth looking into? Other than that, look into childcare options - possibly worth getting a nanny or au pair who would be able to take the children to their activities?
