They are moving this weekend. They have already had lots of stupid stuff like "ooh now we are in big posh orifice we can no longer have dress-down on Fridays"

Now today they really took the biscuit. They have said that NO personal photos can be displayed

Can they do that? And how anal is it?

How will he survive the day without gazing at my stunning visage?

Life's too short for that sort of nonsense.
Work sucks.
Mainly cos you have to work with nobheads.

acnebride · 14/06/2006 21:30

I can't see why they couldn't do it - I would be spectacularly annoyed if my employer did it, but wouldn't actually leave my job over it. It might be one of the straws that broke the camel's back though.

What do they think they are, the new series of Capital City?

rickman · 14/06/2006 21:31

Tell him to hide a pic in his desk drawer. Perhaps he could have you as a screen saver?

I bet after a few weeks everyone will forget all the new rules and things will go back to normal. Like when you get a new carpet and you go around saying no one will be eating and drinking in here anymore and then you slop your tea all over it the next day.

sfxmum · 14/06/2006 21:31

i am not allowed either, not even a screensaver photo of dd ziltch personal stuff

SoupDragon · 14/06/2006 21:31

Some people have ugly wives/husbands and/or children. No one wants to look at those so ban the lot.

CountessDracula · 14/06/2006 21:31

I guess so

Stupid stuffy law firms tsk

Life isn't all Ally McBeal I can tell you

Oh what a pita and how unnecessary and humourless! Mind you, I have people near me at work who have myriad VILE pink fluffy creatures stuck to their pcs and they are surrounded by lots and lots and lots of pictures and it can all look a bit tacky and crappy. But obv your dh's beautiful tasteful photos are an entirely different matter and I don't think it's fair to ban photos, not at all. Is there a riff raffy element they'd like to get rid of? Do you think that's it? Otherwise it's just a bit uptight and weird I think.

CountessDracula · 14/06/2006 21:33

No no they don't have that I don't think. He has a print out A3 of dd and the dog which he pins to the wall

If it helps, when we move offices next year, not only will there be no personal photos, we will be issued with a cup/mug! The expression I'm searching for here is fgs!

WelshBoris · 14/06/2006 21:34

maybe hes just telling you that CD

maybe he doesnt want to look at your ugly mug all day

Wink
