I applied for VS as i work as a cancer counsellor but having lost dad in march to cancer decided to go.

I was starting to feel depressed so asked them to
look at application immediately. My gp then signed me off and referred me to bereavement counselling

The first i heard was an email saying the application was authorised with a leaving date of 2nd aug (same date as email)

My contract states that 12 weeks notice on termination of my role yet the employer said im not entitled to payment in lieu of notice ( as im signed off so cant work it) but the employers pay policy statement clearly says a termination payment can include various things inc payment in lieu

2 years ago i represented a colleague in a successful tribunal for disability discrimination case

Acas told me i an entitled to notice. I have told them if not resolved by fri i will sue

Any advice?

Try in the employment section. Redundancy is not well frequented.
