my husbands company is moving overseas next year & his job will be no more Sad im hoping that he can jump long before hes pushed. my idea is to write him up a CV & email it to relevant employment agencies & post it on the net in the hope that something will turn up. does anyone know a good site to go on to make a CV?
many thanks.

Take a look at Monster, Jobsite, Reed and Jobserve, also try to find sites that are specific to his type of job. You can load a CV, enter search criteria such as "London, salary £30,000 - £40,000, Construction" etc. and have relevant jobs emailed to you daily.

See his trade press for recruitment agencies that specialize in his industry.

thanks clerkKent Smile ive already looked on monster & jobsite. monster seems v good. only problem being you need to do your CV in one go, you cant do a bit then go back to it. my husband cant (wont) commit to hours on the pc & has no idea about CVs. i dont think hes ever had one before. i want to find a site where i can do a CV as & when i get information from dh. i will look on some of the other sites youve mentioned to see if i can do that there, but because his skills & work experience within his current job are so extensive & i dont really understand a lot of it, it may be better to get it done professionally. do you know of a good company who do CVs?

A Word template is a good place to start! See for example \link{http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/CT063470421033.aspx\templates}.

Presumably your husband would be entitled to redundancy. A decent organisation would offer outplacement - and an outplacement agency would certainly help with a CV. We use Right Coutts \link{http://www.rightcoutts.co.uk/\Website}.

many thanks again clerkKent Smile i checked out the sites you suggested earlier & have bookmarked your other links. unfortunately dh`s company are by no means a decent organisation. he was actually lied to by his boss that his job was safe for another 4 years, but he heard from another source (reliable) that he only has about 6 months Angry thats business for you i suppose.
