closing date - what does this mean?

I am doing an application, trying to get it finished but struggling as an tired now.
the job ad says:
"closing date: 24th July 2013"
does that mean midnight tonight? or can I submit it tomorrow?

(promised myself this wouldn't be another last minute one... next time)

I would assume it has to be in by close of business tomorrow.

I'd say it was close of business on 24th unless a time has been stated.

thanks for responding. that's what I thought hoped but DP said it means tonight...
