Two weeks ago I submitted a claim for job seekers allowance, a week later had interviews at the job centre. How long will it likely be before they confirm my claim and/or pay me?
I've just accepted an offer of a job, but it doesn't start for two weeks yet. I don't want to inform the job centre yet, because that might just cause their computer to cancel my claim altogether; I know it's not a lot of money, but it would come in handy.
Apparently I don't have to let them know officially until I actually start work!
