Hello,
I wanted to find out about my rights of returning to work from maternity leave. I was preschool deputy manager for 2 years and then have been manager for an year and then went on maternity leave. Now ive been told i will come back as a basic staff and my pay will decrease as well. I wanted to find out can my owner do this with me? What are my legal rights in uk? Where can i get advice from?

Thanks

Have you looked on the directgov website for advice?

If you take 6 months off you have the right to return to your old position. If you take aml, up to a year then you have the right to return to a position on the same terms as you left on. Does not have to be the same role, but , ust be same terms ans conditions including pay.

Agree with lemonbreeland

You can get some specific advice on what to do to resolve from ACAS website and advice line. You may need to submit a grievance to your manager.
