Wish me luck! Back to work tomorrow!

Back to work tomorrow and it feels so so so weird! I'm not as upset as I was when I went back after DS1 but I just can't imagine standing in front of a class of grotty teenagers after 45 weeks at home!! I'm more bothered about what I'm going to wear and why the hell I haven't sorted out my jelly belly after all this time!

Good luck! I'm feeling "ugh" at the idea of going back after just half term even!! I'm sure they'll all be pleased to see you.

haha I gave up my teaching job before I had ds and have absolutely no intention to stand in front of 30 horrible 14 year olds ever again!!
Seriously, good luck, I do hope that they treat you better now that you've had a baby.

In my old dept, all the teachers who left were female who went on maternity leave and decided that they were too in love with their child to ever want to come back!

Yes of course. I'm not at all suggesting that working mums are any less in love with their child than sahms but it one of my ex colleagues had said those exact words when she decided to resign after returning from maternity leave. Although now reading my message again, I might have offended some. Blush
It was not intentional and really sorry. I'll shut up!

Oh well, it wasn't too bad but then again only had three lessons today! My last lesson was a complete nightmare and I felt like I was a student teacher again!!. Both DS with my parents so haven't had the nursery drop yet - that's tomorrow's trauma!

It's a weird feeling isn't it Smellen? I didn't really think about DS whilst there and it felt good to be "me" again but when i saw him again at tea time i felt quite emotional that I had missed him!! Just had a wee sob over tea about him going to nursery tomorrow - it seems such a long day Sad

The thing that I'm going to find really hard is having the time or energy to do any work at night. By the time they're both in bed and we have had tea and I've done the housey things ( and the vital mumsnetting of course!) it's going on for nine and I'm usually in bed by ten!

Well, let's hope that the Year 8s from hell are on better form Period 1 tomorrow than they were Period 6 today!
