So much guilt

I'm going back to work in oct when ds will be ten months old. I've been lucky that I've been able to reduce my hours and will be working three and a half days . Ds will be going to a childminder who I feel great about for the days I'm working. The problem is that I feel so bad about leaving him - not going back to work is not an option and besides I love my job. Will I always feel like this?

You won't, I promise! That said, 'Mother Guilt' is a bugger and as soon as you've conquered the going to work guilt you'll find something else to feel equally guilty about...

In my experience the prospect of going back to work is far far worse than actually doing it. You will be fine. You cannot beat Mummy Guilt and will have it if you go back or you don't for suffering reasons so you just need to rationalise your own thoughts in your head. Good luck!

It def is worse thinking about it. I went back 3 days a week when DD was 9months old but she loves her childminder now. There might be a few tough days (prob more for you) but in no time at all your ds will be settled.

Try not to think about it and enjoy the rest of your leave.
