Some advice re applying for part-time hours on return to work

Hi,

I am scheduled to return to work in August. I have already informally agreed with my employer that I will return 3.5 days per week, but I need to make my request in writing. This is fine, but I'm having trouble with the bit where I need to describe the benefits to the company of my new arrangements. Apart from being less stressed at work and working more efficiently, I am struggling a bit. Realistically I will have to fit 5 days work into 3.5 days so clearly this benefits the company, but don't want to put this on the form! Any suggestions?

are yoiu being paid for 5 days ?
that' doesn't sound right and you'll be stressed if you have to work full time but squeeze it into 3.5 days

being paid for 3.5 days, so you're right probably will be more stressed!! Hmmm, will have to tippex the less stressed bit out on my form....
