Just that really. Probably a silly question as I know I have rights but still ...
I started working at the NHS in April. Last week I found out I'm pregnant. I'm still in my new employee probationary period and will be until October.
My manager has just offered me a change of hours to boot. I was taken on for twilight shifts and asked to be considered for day shifts if they come available. I must have made a good impression because my manager have offered me my ideal shifts - three full days instead of five evenings. I've accepted.
Tomorrow I need to tell her I'm pregnant. Part of my job involves heavy-ish lifting and pushing loaded trolleys from one end of the hospital to the other. I also have a history of miscarriage (2) and bleeding in pregnancy (all four previous pregnancies) so I need to make her aware in case I have any problems.
I'm worried she'll think I'm taking the piss and that it'll impact on me negatively (this may or may not be clouded by me being slightly hormonal and therefore obsessive over small issues).
