Before I started my maternity leave I applied for a new full time role in my department (previously worked part time). I have just been told that I have been successful and will be appointed in the new role on 1 August, part way through my maternity leave.
I am not due to return to work until March 2013 so won't actually start working in the new role until then but I wanted to know whether the terms and conditions of the new role still apply from 1 August?
The most relevant of these are holiday entitlement (would get more holidays as new role full time) and car allowance (would get monthly cash allowance). Will I accrue more holidays from 1 August and get paid car allowance (I understand that my company normally pays car allowance during mat leave)?
