Need help as am feeling lost! Am wrong side of forty wih kids in teens and have only done casual/cleaning type of work last 15 yrs.

Have done level 1 OU science courses and intended to start care work before applying for nursing in a year or two. Heres the problem - have just undergone third prolapse surgery in a year and been told by my consultant that ANY physically demanding activity is out for life unless I want to be left with permanent problems that he may not be able to fix. Am trying not to feel sorry for myself and just focus on positives like being able to walk and cycle with my kids again when recovered. But deep down i'm gutted that I finally found something I would love to do and dont know where to go from here.

I know there are other routes but want patient (elderly preferably) contact all seem to have

sorry posted too early! Meant to add that all routes with patient contact seem to have some level physical demand.

would be grateful for any advice or thoughts on this.
