Term-time working

I have seen a job ad for a professional, part-time role in an academic setting, which I have the qualifications and experience for.

However, I am really looking for a term-time only role and wonder whether I should apply and state this in my application, or apply and discuss if I get to the offer stage.

I wouldn't want to annoy this employer in case a term-time only role came up in the future.

WWYD?

If you won't take it if its not term time only I would ring the HR department and ask if they ever do term time only contracts - although in my experience out of schools its not that common
