Anyone able to talk to me about what it is like to be a SALT?

SALT (Speech and Language Therapist)... I've got it into my head that I'm interested in learning more about what being a SALT involves, with a view to retraining... I've had a brief look at post-grad courses and think I could get in. But I'd really like to know more about what the day-to-day job involves. Would you recommend it? And (practical question) how much do you earn? What else should I know?

Thanks for reading.

Great option if you want to spend lots of time job-hunting after you qualify.
It is a very very tough job market!!
