Job application form

Hi, my current job has had the job description re-written 3 times whilst I've been in post so what I do now is nothing like what I actually came to do (this is over 10 years). I want to apply for a job that is more like what I originally did but how can I make it clear on the application form under previous employment when I haven't actually changed my job. Can I say in the reason for leaving that the job description and duties have changed over the years and I'd like a position that reflects my preference for the initial type of work I was doing?
Thanks

Yes, I think that would be fair enough. And if there's a personal statement bit you could reiterate it there - although you may need to explain why the initial role is preferred.

What exactly is it you want to make clear in the application form?
