Applying for a job, help me with a small point please!

I'm out of practice :) The advert says "send your CV and covering letter by email to [email protected]" That means do a separate covering letter in Word and email it as an attachment, like the CV, doesnt it? Also, how/who would you address the letter and email to? Debra? Ms Commonsurname?

I am also out of practice at this but -

I would attach both letter and CV as separate Word docs, with a short email saying 'Dear Ms Commonsurname, I am applying for the role of blahblahblah and attach my covering letter and CV for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you. Yours, etcetc
