Is there a better way to do this when dd starts nursery than just sticky labels? Or are there some labels that will survive washing better than others? Help!

I used permanent marker pens. Rubs off after a while, but often you'll find you're the only one who uses your particular make of bottles, anyway.

Same here - permanent (waterproof) CD marker pen - needs renewing occasionally....

I used stickers and it lasted for over a year

Simply Stuck do name labels that stay on more or less for ever.

In my son's nursery, most people put their child's initials on the bottom of the bottle in nail varnish, seemed to last forever - or at least for the length of time they were using bottles!

I use a permanent marker pen to put DD's initials on the bottom of the bottle. It seems to have lasted well so far! We use Avent bottles which seem to be the most popular with parents using our nursery!
