Pleaae help if you can. My baby is due 26th July. I am currently working for an agency and qualify for maternity allowance from the government. The bank I work for now want to give me a permanent contract at the end of this month will I still qualify as before with the agency staff?

You'd still get MA as that is paid by govt not employer.

Yes you will. If you were going to qualify for statutory maternity pay from being employer by the agency, then transferring to the main employer would affect that. But Maternity Allowance is for those who don't qualify for SMP and is based on how many weeks work you've done regardless of who you were employed by.

Thanks for that. I'm just waiting to hear back from the agency to make I don't qualify for them paying my maternity.
