no, they have simply "forgotten" to pay me (should have been paid 2 and a half weeks ago)
I work from home so cannot go and punch the idiot in charge
he doesn't reply to e-mails or phone calls
I did speak to him last friday and all he said was 'it's in the system and should be with you anyday'

It's a case of the Peter principle (promoted to his level of incompetency)

Frenchie this is exactly what I'm going through. The woman who should be dealing with it won't answer emails. I started my job on April 3rd and I've had nothing since. My emails have ranged from polite to impatient to exasperated. I've even talked to her face to face. So I sympathise. In fact, that's it. I'm phoning her now.

I sent an email entitled URGENT. Crunch time.

In it I let her know that my bank problems are begining to cost the whole family and I've had a final demand for an important invoice.

It did the trick. She wrote back straight away and says it's on the way.

I'll reserve judgement to check it really is happening this time. I really resent having to play hard ball just to get paid for the work I do. I don't like have to get stroppy. It works though.

I hope they pay you quickly. Keep up the pressure.
