Hi all. I thought I would start a peer support thread for all student health visitors. I start my training in September 2013. Any tips or advice we can share will be great. :-)

Hello all!!

I'm new on the network. All my greeting to those who have been there before me.

Can anyone help?
I attended interview for the Health Visitor position in May13, and that for September 13 intake. I have not received my result till now. I have contacted the London deanery on phone 3 weeks ago and they promised that I was going to receive it by then. It's now 3 weeks.
3 days ago I have to send an email for further inquiry as the phone number is no longer in operation.

Does anyone have an idea about what is happening?

does anyone know whether you get help with childcare whilst training to be a HV

I'm starting my training this Sept. what is tape recorded assessment please? What sort of tape is required please?

Just wanted to say good luck to you all starting the HV training. I qualified as a HV in 2009.
