I know, daft question, but need to ask.
A job is advertised for £22,221.
How much would I earn after tax?
And then monthly...divide by 12?
The job stipulates 12 hours a week.
Roughly, what would the hourly rate be?

assuming a tax code of 810L (w1m1), then £1470.62 after tax per month.

So after tax hourly rate of £28.27 approx.

Pro rate means a percentage of the full time salary.
Ie if the full time job is 36 hours per week at a salary of £22221, then if you are only working 12 hours a week, you are only getting 12/36 or one third of the pay above, just under £7500.
Or are you getting paid £22221 for a 12 hour only week? In which case the pay would be the equivalent to about £66663 per year if you were working a full time 36 hour week, which is a pretty high salary compared to the average.

Make sure you know what percentage of the week the 12 hours are.

Hi, I think your employer probably wouldn't pay any tax on that salary because the tax free allowance has gone up to £9400ish.

As you do freelance work too you'd prob have to do a tax return to work out the tax you owe on the overall amount.

Think that's right anyway (I also don't work in finance mind!)
