Starting a job and childcare

I am a contractor and have been taking a break since January, but have started looking at jobs again. The problem is my dd is at school and I do not have anyone to look after her when holiday club is closed - which they will be for a week over Easter which is in a month's time.
So if I were to get something soon I'd look a bit of a berk asking for time off straightaway wouldn't I? Should I otherwise postponing job hunting until after this time?

I think it's ok to say that you have planned holiday (you don't have to say it's just for childcare) and will they honour it. IF they say no, you can always turn down the job?

what about in summer, though, childcare then?

I would be ok in the summer as my parents would be able to look after dd. They are abroad at the moment and are back in May.

I would just book her into holiday childcare if a job does come up
