I have returned from mat leave working 2 days a week as part of a job share. I work Mondays and Tuesdays. On returning I was told that I would have to take all bank holidays as annual leave, whereas the lady I job share with (who works weds-fri) gets given all the bank holidays back and added to her holiday entitlement!!
For staff who work full time, they receive 28 days holiday a year and don't have to use annual leave for bank holidays.
I am therefore in a position where about 6 of my 11 days annual leave have to be used on bank holidays - not great when you also have a Childminder taking 4 weeks holiday a year!
Are they treating me fairly and is this right?
