What to take to interview?

Have an interview on Tuesday, having not had an interview for rather a long time not sure whether I need to take anything with me - do I need to take certificates for qualifications? Have been qualified for 3 years.

Really don't want to screw this up so any advice gratefully received!

I wouldn't expect you to bring certificates an thins to an interview. In fact, I wouldn't expect you to bring anything to an interview with me, as HR would sort all of that out afterwards if you were offered a job.

It might be different for interviews that are likely to result in an offer or otherwise on the day (teachers? Nurses?)

I have never taken anything to an interview, or expected anyone I have interviewed to bring anything. They will confirm your qualifications later if they offer you the job.

Thank you :) I'm so out of the loop when it comes to interviews, fingers crossed!

Read the job details carefully, some of them have specified things to bring to interview but most don't.

I've had a few job interviews recently, and some asked me to bring identity documents like driving license, passport, utility bills. If they want you to bring anything like that they will have included a list of documents to bring with your invitation to interview. Have a good look through the letter/email inviting you to interview and if there's nothing mentioned then you don't need to take anything. Good luck, hope it goes well!
