Am currently 30 weeks pregnant with DC2.
New school opening in our area for children with ASDs. Am currently working in that field 30 miles away from home.
Made a general enquiry a few weeks back expecting to be put on a mailing list but have today had a letter inviting me for interview in less than a week!
Should I ring them and explain my circumstances (which I would have done on the enquiry form had there been an opportunity for me to do so) or shall I attend the interview and explain things face to face?
Any advice appreciated Smile

Are you planning on going back to work when baby is 6 months old ie September? If so, I would go along and meet them, get a feel for the place and if you like it, say you will be available for the Autumn term.

My friend is a head teacher and she is currently recruiting for two position for Autumn onwards, I don't think it's unusual for schools to plan that far ahead due to the notice they expect from teachers.

Am planning on returning part time when baby is around 6 months, yes. Do I phone them today tho and explain things? Or just turn up on Wednesday, quite clearly pregnant and risk them thinking I'm a time waster?

I would definitely call them and explain the situation.
