Hi I am currently on mat leave I have no intention of going back to my old employer......anyone know when I need to let them know this?? X

You need to hand in your notice as normal, so if you are on a months notice, you need to notify your employer once you've been on mat leave for 11 months, ie one month before you would be due to go back.

I checked my contract and it said that I'd have to pat back mat pay if I left but not if I did 6 months after returning from mat pay (min). So I'd check with HR or in contract.
